Disaster Resilience Workshop: United Way of Southwest Alabama

As the 2025 hurricane season gets underway, the Verizon and the United Way of Southwest Alabama are hosting a series of free workshops designed to help residents prepare for severe weather events.
The second Disaster Resilience Workshop will take place on Tuesday, June 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Bishop State Community College (351 North Broad Street, 36603)

The event will offer participants practical guidance for preparing your families and homes for disasters. Lunch will be provided. Registration is required, and the first 75 registrants will be entered into a drawing for a generator.
