DESCRIPTION:Join the Greater Mobile (AL) Chapter of The Links\, Incorporated for a Candidate Forum focused on the 2026 midterm primary races for Alabama House Districts 97 and 99 and the Mobile County Sheriff’s race. Presented in the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Technology Hall at the downtown Bishop State campus. \n\n\n\nThis forum will provide an opportunity to hear directly from candidates and learn more about the issues that impact our community. From 5 – 5:30 pm the Mobile County Probate Court will be demonstrating an accessible voting machine for disabled persons and a ballot counting machine. \n\n\n\nYouth will play an active role in the program by helping research candidates\, develop questions\, promote the event\, and participate in the discussion. \n\n\n\nThis event is presented in partnership with Bishop State Community College\, the League of Women Voters\, NAACP\, National Pan-Hellenic Council\, and Mobile United to support voter education and engagement. \n\n\n\nThe event is free and open to the public but seating is limited. DESCRIPTION:Lee Charities invites you to a non-profit appreciation event we are putting on April 28th at 4:00pm down at CoastAL!  \n\n\n\nThe goal of this evening is to say – Thank you\, you are loved and you are making a huge difference in the lives of folks in our community who need it most.  \n\n\n\nIt’s free – no tickets or anything like that – come eat yummy food\, get free drinks\, hang out for an hour or 2 down at the beach and hopefully win some self-care / raffle items.  \n\n\n\nWorking in the nonprofit world – is incredibly tough and draining. Most of the folks in non-profits we know are hyper focused on meeting the needs of the population/mission they serve and often forget to prioritize themselves.  \n\n\n\nThis night is just a thank you for fighting the good fight – come down the beach\, relax\, hang with other non-profits – we will have a big raffle – that whoever comes – will get entered into for free – all of the items will be self-care/ relaxation/ mental health items – just to say thank you and hopefully to help take your stress levels down from a 11 out of 10 to a manageable 9  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will also be announcing our 2026 grant cycle winners and will also enter in everyone’s organization that comes into a smaller $1\,000 drawing that will be given away that night!
